Srilanka :-Sri Lanka is not in good form in the ICC ODI rankings. They are in seventh position following West Indies behind them. However, you can see a balanced and strong Sri Lanka team.No Sri Lankan player has got chance in the top list of ICC ODI batsmen ranking. Kumar Sangakkara is the most reliable player in his team. He is the second best players in the ICC Test rankings. His performance should boost his team to do well. We will see him performing both as a wicketkeeper and batsman.ard hitter aggressive batsman Sanath Jayasuriya will be the main problem for opponent teams. In his 40-year-age, he is still continuing his career as like young.Mahela Jayawardene left captaincy to focus on his batting. However, he is now in consistent form. His form will be a big asset for his team. The good thing of his character is that he can continue his play under huge pressure. Sri Lanka’s big problem is their opening batting line-up. Who do you think will make open with Upul Tharanga? It may be Sanath Jayasuriya or Tillakaratne Dilshan. The retirement of Chaminda Vaas made a big void in Sri Lankan bowling line-up. However, it seems that Nuwan Kulasekara could fill up this gap. He is now in the top chart of ICC ODI bowlers’ rankings. Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis pair will keep an important role for their team.

Squad : Kumar Sangakkara (capt), Muttiah Muralitharan, Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardene, Upul Tharanga, Thilan Samaraweera, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Angelo Mathews, Chamara Kapugedera, Thilina Kandamby, Ajantha Mendis, Thilan Thushara, Nuwan Kulasekara, Dammika Prasad, Lasith Malinga.

South Africa :-
As a host team South African cricket will go under spot light. Now, they have caught the attention after claiming top position in both Test and ODI ranking. Home crowd will inspire them to do well. Most of their players are in good form.South African Skipper Graeme Smith has come back from injury. This 28-year-old player is confident about his team’s performance. It is the best time for them to show something to the cricket world. I can hardly find any weakness of this team. They are good both batting and bowling line-up. Young players are the big asset of this team. Now, South Africa has destructive bowlers and world class batsmen. So, it is sure that they are very balanced team.

Squad :
Graeme Smith (capt), Johan Botha, Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher (wk), AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Herschelle Gibbs, Jacques Kallis, Albie Morkel, Makhaya Ntini, Wayne Parnell, Robin Peterson, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, Roelof van der Merwe.

Head to Head :
South Africa lead 5-1 on Sri Lanka in ICC events.
South Africa and Sri Lanka have faced each other only two times in the Champions Trophy. Both the matches have been won by South Africa.
